Emergency Child Services
"Our City Cares" funding is allocated by City Council to assist San Antonio residents
with short term child care during an emergency or extenuating circumstance.
The four criteria of eligibility are:
- Circumstances such as, but not limited to, fire, family violence, natural disaster or emergency / medical need
- Be a battered and/or substance abuse client in a rehabilitation program with a counselor
- Be homeless and trying to gain self-sufficiency with the assistance of a counselor
- Be guardians of children without parents (death, abandonment or imprisoned)
