OverviewThe Department of Human Services (DHS) assists families with basic needs such as: utility assistance (electric and water) and rental assistance. DHS’s Center for Working Families (CWF) provides supportive services, case management and employment referral assistance to families of San Antonio and Bexar County. CWF's main focus is to provide low- income families and individuals with the support they need to move toward better jobs and financial self-sufficiency. DHS’s Homeless Services Division seeks to facilitate the development, implementation and utilization of community resources to stabilize, re-house, and reunify homeless individuals and families. |
