Applications for new City fee waivers under the ICRIP Program will not be accepted until October 1, 2014. This also applies to renewals of existing City fee waivers. Applications for SAWS impact fee waivers, however,
are still being accepted.
Effective October 1, 2014, there will be a $100 administrative fee for all new and renewed fee waivers issued under the ICRIP. A project receiving a waiver of both city fees and saws impact fees will be assessed a fee of $200 prior to activation.
The Inner City Reinvestment and Infill Policy establishes priority areas of the City targeted for private reinvestment. The intent of the policy is to coordinate and prioritize public incentives in these areas to stimulate and facilitate private investment. Such incentives include financial assistance, such as fee waivers and tax abatements for eligible projects, and staff support for assistance in navigating regulatory and procedural obstacles which sometimes serve as a hindrance to infill development.
How do I apply?
To apply for a City or SAWS fee waiver, please submit an online application. You will receive a response to your application within 72 hours. As part of your application, you will need to provide an estimate of the fees associated with your project which can be obtained by using the Plan Fee Estimator or by calling 210.207.1111. Upon review and approval of your completed application, you will be issued a Waiver ID which can be used at the time of payment to waive a substantial amount of your City development fees and SAWS impact fees. There is an administrative fee of $100 for each fee waiver (City and SAWS) issued per project. This fee must be paid prior to activation and use of the waiver.
