Centro Partnership San Antonio is a newly created public-private non-profit organization entrusted to envision and foster a vibrant and prosperous downtown that benefits the entire San Antonio community. The Centro Partnership initiative a strategic planning effort which resulted in a guiding document to serve as an action plan to stimulate new focused development in the center city over the next decade. The Center City Strategic Framework Plan was formerly adopted by the Centro Partnership on February 23, 2012 and is available for review at http://downtownsanantonio.org/main/strategic-plan.
In an effort to ensure the execution of the Framework Plan, the Center City Development Office initiated the creation of an Implementation Plan for the center city. The Implementation Plan provides recommendations on how to best implement the Downtown Strategic Framework Plan through increased public investment, creation of a housing finance strategy, coordinated management, and regulation of development. The plan is in draft form and City Council will take formal action in late spring 2012. View the draft Center City Implementation Plan.
