Damage Assessment Team

When the storm is over, we are ready! In cooperation with the San Antonio Office Of Emergency Management and all Emergency Response Partners the Code Enforcement Division Damage Assessment Team aides in the efforts to restore our communities in the aftermath of a Natural Disaster. The ability to provide quality Damage Assessment information is critical to ensure a quick response from Federal and State Agencies in wake of a natural disaster. The team is trained under the guidelines of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and TDEM (Texas Division of Emergency Management) for a seamless response.

Surviving Disaster: How Texans Prepare

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is pleased to announce that the new Catalog of FEMA Earthquake Resources is now available, at no cost, from the Publications Warehouse and online from the FEMA Library.

The new Catalog of FEMA Earthquake Resources, FEMA P-736A, includes more than 80 National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) publications and resources for individuals and homeowners, teachers and kids, community planners and policymakers, and building design professionals and engineers. For the first time, the new Catalog also includes a table of earthquake training resources. The table is organized by topic area (new buildings, existing buildings, residential, and special topics) and includes target audiences, format of the training resource, and availability. Every resource listed in the Catalog includes a short description, its cover image when available, and an icon indicating its format.

To complement the print Catalog, FEMA has published FEMA P-736A CD. This CD resource contains the Catalog and some of the most popular FEMA earthquake resources, including:

  • FEMA IS-22, Are You Ready?
  • FEMA 74, Reducing the Risks of Nonstructural Earthquake Damage
  • FEMA 83, Seismic Considerations for Communities at Risk
  • FEMA 232, Homebuilder's Guide to Earthquake Resistant Design and Construction
  • FEMA 474, Promoting Seismic Safety: Guidance for Advocates
  • FEMA B-526, Earthquake Safety Checklist
  • FEMA 528, Earthquake Home Hazard Hunt Poster
  • FEMA 529, Drop, Cover, and Hold Poster
  • FEMA 530, Earthquake Safety Guide for Homeowners

To order your copy of FEMA P-736A or FEMA P-736A CD from the Publications Warehouse, call 1 (800) 480-2520 or fax your request to (240) 699-0525.
