Any vehicle displaying the disabled persons license plate or a current plastic placard designed to hang from the
rearview mirror may park in a space reserved for disabled persons parking.
It is illegal to park a vehicle in a space bearing the international symbol for access without displaying the placard
hanging from the rearview mirror or a license plate for the disabled.
Parking a vehicle within the striped area on either side of a space reserved for disabled persons is illegal, even
if the vehicle is authorized to park in the reserved space.
The permanent placard used prior to 1992 for disabled persons parking is no longer valid. All persons holding this
type of placard must replace it with the new 5-year renewable type.
