The members of the
Customer Assistance Team are typically the first city associates
that you will meet when entering the Cliff Morton Development
and Business Services Center at 1901 S. Alamo when applying for
a permit or when asking for information. Our mission is to serve
the public with better than expected customer service by
effectively facilitating the development process while
protecting the health, safety, and public welfare of the
community. Our department goals and objectives are as follows:
- Protect the health, safety, and quality of life of the citizens of San Antonio.
- Improve cycle time for permits
- Ensure consistency and quality of reviews and inspections
- Enhance customer service philosophy to facilitate the development process
The Customer Assistance Team consists of the Greet and Assist
Team and the Completeness and Assignment Review (CAR) Team
Customer Advocate Section Organizational Chart Greet and Assist
When you enter our building, you will be in
our Business Assistance Center and will be greeted at our front
counter by the Greet and Assist staff. They will welcome you,
listen to you and help guide you to the proper areas/services
within the building or to other agencies outside the building in
order to facilitate your needs. The staff will be able to
assistance with questions and navigating the department website
and most importantly a numbered ticket for your service at one
of the service counters to help you. We will strive to make your
visit with us a pleasant and rewarding one.
Completeness and Assignment Review
The Completeness and Assignment Review (CAR) staff provide one-stop service for those customers seeking commercial permits that require submittal of detailed plans for review and approval prior to issuance of permits. Upon submittal, plans are reviewed by CAR staff for completeness and then assigned/routed to appropriate City review agencies for technical review and approval.
