Small Business Advocacy Committee The Small Business Advocacy Committee advises City Council, City Manager, and City Staff on issues related to small, minority and women-owned business enterprises. MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR On behalf of the Small Business Advocacy Committee, welcome to our home page. We are appointed representatives of our respective districts, formed to focus on issues of concern to our small business community. We meet on a monthly basis, the third Tuesday of every month at 8:30a.m. on the 19th floor of the Frost Bank Tower at 100 W. Houston, to hear your concerns and respond to any obstacles impeding your business opportunities. Each of us is here to support your efforts toward success in your business ventures. The committee members act by making policy recommendations for action through the Economic Development Department to our City Council.
