Fitness in the Park to Provide Healthy Resources

The Metro Health Department, Parks & Recreation, and the Mayor’s Fitness Council are working together to bring you and your family "Fitness in the Park!" from February 22 to May 31, 2011. It’s open to all ages and fitness levels and there’s no registration required. The current schedule is available by clicking here (choose the "Fitness" tab on top).

FREE classes by professional instructors include: Zumba, boot camp, Yoga, walking groups, mountain biking, stretching, core and running. Instructors provided by: YMCA, Flexible Fitness, Spectrum Athletic Clubs, Lifetime Fitness, UTSA, Bexar County Active Living Council - Bryan Muñoz, RuWellness and LetsGo210.

The City’s Employee Wellness Program encourages you and your family to participate in these fun and healthy classes. If you would like to volunteer to become a ‘Fitness in the Park’ instructor e-mail Pete Garcia at pedro.t.garcia@sanantonio.gov.
