Code Enforcement
|
All properties in historic and RIO districts, properties individually designated, and
all public properties are
required to obtain approval in the form of a Certificate of
Appropriateness (COA) from the Office of Historic
Preservation (OHP) prior to starting work. Any work done without
approval is subject to a $500 application fee. The OHP only
reviews exterior changes. Property owners should display their Certificate of
Appropriateness or approved Repair and Maintenance form in a
location visible from the street. Approvals are valid for up to
6 months.
To enquire about citations or enforcement, contact Ron
Meyers, Historic Building Enforcement Officer, at (210) 219-2093
or
ron.meyers@sanantonio.gov.
During business hours you may also contact the OHP cell
phone at (210) 215-9274.
