Safety and Loss Prevention
The Safety and Loss Prevention Section provides expertise in a variety
of areas such as inspections, training, safety programs, risk reporting,
and claim analysis. In addition, the section assists City departments
in the evaluation, development, and implementation of practices and
procedures that mitigate losses.
We offer many training and safety awareness classes such as defensive
driving, first aid, CPR, drug & alcohol awareness, ergonomics,
blood borne pathogens, and hazardous communications (HAZCOM).
We also maintain an extensive video library that covers a wide range
of safety-related subjects. These videos are available to all
