Management Fellows Program

The City of San Antonio's Management Fellows Program is a 12-month program, with each Fellow spending four months in each of the following departments: the City Manager's Office, the Office of Management and Budget, and one operating department. Management Fellows will be exposed to multiple challenges that local governments face today, as well as new and innovative methods to deal with these challenges. Each four-month rotation will provide the Management Fellows with a broad base of experience that will benefit both the individual employee as well as the City in the future. Upon completion of the 12-month program, City staff will work with each Management Fellow to help them find a full-time position that matches their individual career interests.

The deadline to apply for the spring 2013 class of the Management Fellows Program has passed. Please check back in the coming months for information on our next recruitment period.

Student Internship Program

The City of San Antonio Student Internship Program provides eligible vocational or technical school, college or university students with the opportunity to work in departments within the City organization. Students are enabled to link theory with practice, gain real-world experience and develop specialized skills that cannot be taught in the classroom. The program also provides opportunities for City employees to serve as mentors. Click here for more information about the Student Internship Program.
